Restriction Exemption Program at AGC

December 1, 2021 Update

AGC follows the Restriction Exemption Program (REP).

What this means for AGC, as of September 23, 2021:

Participants - Anyone entering our facility that is 12 years old and over, will need to show proof of vaccination (QR Code only) or negative test result*.

The REP at AGC includes:

Athletes 12 and up

Adult (18 & over) drop-in participants

Parents/guardians in our Parent and Squirrel programs
(Children under the age of 12 are not affected at all.)

As of Nov 15, 2021 - The QR Code Vaccine record is now the only valid Alberta-issued proof of vaccination accepted by operators participating in REP.

Spectators
As of Dec 1, 2021 - our lobby and viewing area is reopening to everyone.
The QR code vaccine record or negative test must be shown every time. (There are too many people for us to make records of who has shown it.)
Please be respectful of this process and our staff. Please be patient while we navigate these new procedures. Abuse will not be tolerated. Anyone abusing our staff will lose spectating privileges and/or their child will not be allowed to attend AGC.

Entering Procedures
If you are dropping your children off for classes, please do not drop them off until 5 minutes before their class, ready to go.

Exiting Procedures

Children will exit the building through the front doors.

Screening

No individual should come to the facility who is experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, regardless of how mild they are. If symptoms are present, the participant/spectator will be asked to leave.
While AGC is not requesting the screening form be submitted at this time, please continue to do it at home before deciding to come to the gym.
Unvaccinated children under 12 years old may not enter the gym if they have travelled internationally in the last 14 days. (More info HERE.)

*Proof of vaccination includes:
  • Valid photo identification that matches the vaccine record (only required for adults 18 and over)

  • Valid paper or digital vaccine record that shows name, vaccine type and date of administration

  • After October 25: proof of full vaccination (two doses) is required.

*Proof of Negative Test includes:

  • Tests must be privately-paid, Health Canada approved rapid antigen, rapid PCR or lab-based PCR test completed within the previous 72 hours.

  • Valid test results should be a written or printed copy that clearly outlines the type of test, time of sample collection, clear indication of a negative result, and laboratory that completed the test, if applicable.

  • Photos of a rapid test result taken offsite is not sufficient.

  • Do not bring completed self-tests or rapid tests to businesses due to communicable disease risk.

  • Tests must not be from Alberta Health Services or Alberta Precision Laboratories.

Thank you for your understanding.
