Gymnastics Classes for School-Age Children
Our gymnastics program offers repetitive skill progressions and tailored drills for children, ensuring safe and effective skill acquisition. Taught by NCCP Certified Coaches, our objectives include learning proper gymnastics techniques, enhancing strength, flexibility, coordination, and fitness. From toddlers to teens, recreational classes foster skill development, friendships, and teamwork.

CanGym Program
Girls - Ages 5 & up
Boys - Ages 6 & up
These classes will follow a modified CanGym program, which is a nationally recognized curriculum for recreational gymnastics. Boys will train on all six Olympic events; Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and High Bar.
Girls will train on all four Olympic events; Vault, Uneven Bars, Beam and Floor.
CanGym program is intended for use with participants of varying abilities. Utilizing the CanGym program allows participants, coaches, and parents to monitor progress in addition to be a motivational tool for athletes.

AGC athletes receive a 'Completion Page' for each of our class levels; Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced. The 'Completion Page' has spots for stickers as they complete each colour.
This program is based on ability and NOT age. We always attempt to group children of similar ages.

Burgundy & Red
(level 1 & 2)
This Beginner class teaches core skills like rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and swings—while introducing athletes to all Olympic events. Even if your child has floor experience, most have never trained safely on all apparatus. This class builds strength, coordination, and confidence across all events.
All new gymnasts must start here unless they have officially completed CanGym Level 2.

Tan & Bronze
(level 3 & 4)
This class is designed for athletes working toward their Tan and Bronze levels. Girls will work on skills like bridge kick-overs, roundoffs, pullovers, and handstand flat back vaults. Boys will focus on roundoffs, pullovers, swings on parallel bars, ring dismounts, and mushroom circles. Through targeted drills and repetition, all athletes will build strength, confidence, and foundational skills across all apparatus.

Purple & Blue
(level 5 & 6)
This class is designed for athletes working toward their Purple and Blue levels. This intensive program emphasizes skill connection, conditioning, and cardio. Through consistent targeted drills, athletes will focus on mastering walkovers, roundoffs, front and back salto and handspring progressions; front handspring vaults; circling skills on bars; as well as leaps, turns, and acro elements on beam.

Turquoise & Silver
(level 7 & 8)
This advanced class is ideal for athletes who want to continue progressing through the CanGym levels without moving into competitive training. With a focus on technical refinement, repetition, and apparatus-specific conditioning, athletes build strength, consistency, and confidence while mastering more complex skills in a supportive environment.
Prerequisite: Blue

Orange, Yellow & Up
(level 9-12)
This Elite class focuses on the highest levels of the CanGym program for athletes who enjoy a challenge but aren’t pursuing competitive training. Athletes will strengthen and refine their skills through repetition, technical drills, and apparatus-specific conditioning. The class emphasizes confidence, consistency, and safe progression in a fun and supportive environment.
Prerequisite: Silver Badge
Two 85-minute classes per week.
